Transition into timelessnessThe struggle of three artistsSubject:My thesis is about three artists who all have their own mental problems, Willem de Kooning had Alzheimer’s, William Utermohlen too, and Vincent van Gogh had a multitude of possible disorders. In my thesis I examine the period in which these disorders come to the surface through various symptoms, and how they effect the lives and works of these artists, up to the point that where they are no longer able to work or socially function.
